A passion for vintage fans

 

Denise Frankel is the face behind Rockcoco, a luxury hand fan brand. Denise has been immersed in the fashion world since a young age alongside her family. Her Grandfather owned a millinery company in the City of London, supplying boutiques and department stores across Europe and the UK from the 1930s till the 1990s.

Perhaps this early introduction to the fashion world, sparked Denise’s passion for vintage clothing and accessories; no special occasion outfit would be complete without one of the beautiful fans from her personal collection. These statement pieces did not go unnoticed, and after receiving many compliments and enquiries about where they could be bought, Denise was curious to see if these ornate fans were still being produced. After much research, she discovered that the only type of fans that could be purchased from shops in the UK were inexpensive and mass-produced. Denise realised that the style of fans she was looking for just did not exist anymore, so she made it her mission to seek out artisans to work with to create luxury hand fans for the modern woman, made from the finest materials.

Denise set about turning her passion for fans into a career. Her brand Rockcoco was founded in 2014, and is the first bespoke hand fan makers in London for over one hundred years. Denise is committed to promoting and preserving this ancient craft and to maintaining and reviving traditional methods.

As well as the Rockcoco ready to wear collection, Denise particularly loves working with her clients to create unique bespoke fans for all occasions. She believes there is a fan for everyone and for every event. Working closely with her private clients to bring to life their ideas, Denise is on hand to guide you through the process with her expert knowledge and contacts within the industry for every element of the fans, in both the United Kingdom and Spain. There is no limit to what can be created, other than your imagination!

Denise is also passionate about collaborating with established and upcoming artists to create fans that are truly works of art, for hanging as statement interior pieces within the home.
